2018: Everybody's a Hero was meant to be an inspiring survival story, a story of triumph over all adversity. It was more than that. For those who witnessed the 2018 Kerala floods or were on the sidelines, this film will be more than just a movie. '2018' is a technically flawless, fast-paced and thoughtful film, a cinematic experience worthy of Kerala. After all, it's her story. The story begins in the village of Alvikram, where you meet many people who have petty fights. Among them is a young man who left the army with a fake medical certificate, played by Tovino. We see their daily life and how it is transformed by the flood in sharp contrast afterward. Often portrayed of the absolute fear and helplessness felt when the water rises to the roof of one's home, Jude Anthony Joseph succeeded in doing justice to the suffering, despair and pain of thousands of people. I'm here. The first half was relatively calm, but the second half was the calm before the storm. The fishermen and their rescue efforts, the locals and the help they provided, the helicopter rescues, just about everything we remember from the time found their place, and those moments were well acted out. Tobino, Asif Ali, Lal, Indorans, Sudheesh, Narain, Kunchakko Boban, Karayarasan, Gotami, Thanvi Ram - each of them played their part. In addition to this, the performances of the actors who played supporting characters such as mother, father, victim and police officer were also excellent. The songs and background music were on point and not overly intrusive. There were moments that could have been explored more, but overall, doing justice to the tragedy this generation has endured is no mean feat, and doing the best possible job is imperative. The quality of writing shows that Akil P. Dharmajan and Jude have done a commendable job. Achill George's cinematography deserves special mention. On top of that, Chaman Chacko's editing and high quality visual effects make this movie a great production.
